Aswamedha Gayatri Mahayagnam from Jan 5

Vijayawada: The four-day-long Aswamedha Gayatri Mahayagnam, with a wish to make new state of Andhra Pradesh self-sufficient, will begin on the premises of NRI College here on January 5.

Addressing a press conference, Sri Veda Matha Gayatri Trust organisers B Prasad, P Venkateswarlu, Raghavaiah, Sitaram Sarma, A Venugopal Reddy and others informed that special puja and homams would be held as part of the event.

It was a spiritual exercise to take AP on the path to progress. As many as 501 Homa Gundams would be set up at the venue, they said adding that about 200 Purohits would be taking part in the event.
