The Muslims said that the anti-social forces in the state were trying to divide the state in the name of caste and religion and warned the public be wary of their strategies. The leaders believed that every citizen rightfully belongs to the country. Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and people of all other religions have an equal right to live peacefully without any fear.

They said that the people, who burnt Holy Quran and tried to degrade the sanctity of the Masjid, were trying to disturb the peace in secular India.

The Muslims and the Communist leaders organised a peace rally in the town from the Pedda Masjid to RDO office via the post office center, NTR center, Ankamma temple and offered special prayers to Allah to bestow good heart upon people who committed the heinous act. They demanded that the government arrest the people responsible for the murder and peace disturbing act immediately. The agitation is said to continue till then.
