The YMHA and the KVS Trust jointly presented   ‘Godha Kalyanam’ Kuchipudi dance ballet (from Sri Krishna Devaraya’s Amukthamalyada) on the occasion of Dhanurmasam successfully at the YMHA Hall here.

Eluru: The YMHA and the KVS Trust jointly presented ‘Godha Kalyanam’ Kuchipudi dance ballet (from Sri Krishna Devaraya’s Amukthamalyada) on the occasion of Dhanurmasam successfully at the YMHA Hall here.

This ballet was presented and choreographed by Kalaratna KV Satyanarayana, a famous Kuchipudi exponent and a movie dance director. The composition was co-written by Dr Rallabandi Kavitha Prasad, Dr Vizia Bhasker and KV Satyanarayana.

The main characters in the dance ballet were played by NRI students of KVS Sriya Laalitha Chadalavada, USA as Godha Devi, Srila Hyndhavi Chadalavada, USA as Rangandhudu from Cincinnati, USA and K Geetha from Orlando, USA as Godha mother, Ch Srinivas as Vishnuchitta, Lohitha as Parvathi, Venkat as Siva, Anjali as Saraswathi and Manoj as Bramha and Nikitha, Ambica, Lavanya, Hihitha, Mouya and Needhi played as Godha’s friends. The audience appreciated the artistes Sriya, Srila who played Gangadhar and Godhadevi.

MLC Sri R Surya Rao, Usha Balakrishna, YMHA Trust president Venugopal Lunani, Raminani Dharma, Yerra Somalingeswara Rao and Ex-Minister Mardani Rangarao appreciated the artistes and felicitated them.
