Vizag-Kakinada 6-lane highway for development: Yanamala
“The state government is committed for the people’s welfare to attain a sustainable development through proper planning to eradicate poverty,” said Finance Minister, Yanamala Ramakrsihnudu. He, along with Deputy Chief Minister, Nimmakayala China Rajappa participated in the Janmabhoomi -Maa Vuru programme at Vemavaram village in Thondangi mandal here on Tuesday evening.

He, along with Deputy Chief Minister, Nimmakayala China Rajappa participated in the Janmabhoomi -Maa Vuru programme at Vemavaram village in Thondangi mandal here on Tuesday evening.
Speaking in the inaugural day meeting of the Janmabhoomi, Yanamala said that the programme was aimed at solving public issues from the grassroots-level and necessary budgetary allocations would be made based on the representations received from the public.
Yanamala also said that Rs 20,000 crore were being spent on weaker sections housing in the state and steps would be taken to develop CC roads in all the coastal villages. He further informed that a six-lane highway would be developed between Vizag and Kakinada. He said this would bring a major change in the coastal villages and help those regions to achieve progress.
With regard to the industrial development in SEZ (Special Economic Zone), Yanamala said that only the non-polluting industries would be encouraged in these areas and people’s support was essential for gaining employment for the youth through these industries.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister, Rajappa said that many welfare programmes has been implemented in the state during their three-and-a -half year-old rule, which resulted in the reduced grievance petitions in this phase of Janmabhoomi.
District Collector Kartikeya Misra said that ration cards and pensions would be distributed in the Janmabhoomi programme and ecessary support would be given through the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) for coastal roads.
Additionally, power line problems raised by the local people would be rectified. Chairman of Tuni Agricultural Market Yard, Yanamala Krishnudu, Vemavaram Sarpanch Yadala Babu Rao, MPP Sandhya and others attended the programme. Prior to this, the Finance Minister and the others took a Janmabhoomi oath, followed by the Ministers distributing tractors to the farmers under the Rythu Ratham programme.
