The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) of Bangalore would soon launch advanced light helicopters for citizen services, according to HAL Chief Manager Dunna Srinivasa Rao. He inaugurated the Trans 2k18 national students’ symposium at SRKR Engineering College organised by the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (CEC).

Bhimavaram: The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) of Bangalore would soon launch advanced light helicopters for citizen services, according to HAL Chief Manager Dunna Srinivasa Rao. He inaugurated the Trans 2k18 national students’ symposium at SRKR Engineering College organised by the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (CEC).

Speaking at the inaugural meeting, Srinivasa Rao said, “HAL wishes to extend its services to the defence needs by producing helicopters. These copters are now used by the Army engaged in Jammu and Kashmir and other areas.” Besides these helicopters, HAL would soon equip ultra-modern light utility helicopters (LUH). The LUH was useful to the defence department in emergencies.

Calling upon students to take personalities like Abdul Kalam as an idol to achieve higher goals, he suggested the youth to produce ‘Make in India’ products in the country. He said that the Indian scientists were role models for the world and it had once again proved with the introduction of rockets and satellites with indigenous technology.

ECE Head of the Department PV Ramaraju presided over the inaugural meeting of the symposium. College Director Sagi Vithal Raju released the symposium proceedings in a CD. College Principal G Pardhasaradhi Varma, Prof DVR Mohan, GV Padmarao, Rajasekhar Satyanarayana participated. Later, the college management felicitated Dunna Srinivasa Rao, an alumnus of the college.
