Guntur: Retired High Court judge, Bhavani Prasad appreciated former minister, Kanna Lakshminarayana for his philanthropic services. The former attended a meeting held in Guntur Convention Centre in connection with distribution of scholarships to the merit students held under the aegis of Kanna Rangaiah Charitable Trust.

Addressing the gathering, he said Kanna Lakshminarayana was the Bhishmacharya in of politics. Former Union minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao said Kanna Lakshminarayana came up in life owing to his hard work and added that some political leaders earned crores of rupees by neglecting the poor.

Kanna Rangaiah Charitabe Trust chairman Kanna Lakshnminarayana said that he had been serving the society since 2013 on behalf of the trust. He listed out that they were supplying drinking water through tankers, and established ambulance services in the GGH for people besides conducting free medical camps.

They distributed scholarships to outstanding pupils followed by the felicitation of Justice Bhavani Prasad and former Union minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao. BJP leaders were present at the event.
