Week-long music festival from Jan 15
The week-long musical festival in memory of Sadguru Thyagaraja Swamy would be conducted at the Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College from January 15 to 21, according to general secretary of Vijayawada Music Academy Seeram Subrahmanyam.

At a press meet conducted in Music College, he said that the academy had been conducting this music festival continuously for the last four years.
Machiraju Subrahmanyam, president of the organisation said that more than 300 musicians from all over the state and also from other states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh would also be participating in the event. “The festival would commence in the evening on January 15. The festival would start in the morning and continue till night with a break from 12 noon to 5 pm in the evening.”
It was also mentioned that prominent personalities like LV Subrahmanyam, IAS, A Suryakumari, IAS, Gummadi Gopalakrishna, Dr MC Das, Manually Lakshmi Kumara, Kakarla Sarada Anil Kumar would be attending the inaugural function.
