Shops seized for dumping garbage in drains
Guntur Municipal Corporation officials on Thursday seized three shops for dumping garbage on the road near AC College in Guntur. GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha who noticed it, directed officials to seized the shops. Following her instructions, the officials seized three shops.

According to sources, inmates of a shop had been running an eatery kiosk and pouring the garbage and waste papers in drain and on the road. Earlier, the GMC officials warned them and imposed penalty three times. In spite of it, no change in the attitude of the shop owners. Vexed with the garbage dumping, the GMC officials seized the shop.
GMC Commissioner Challa Anuradha sought cooperation of the people to keep the city clean and requested the people to segregate the garbage and dump the garbage in the dustbins set up by the municipal corporation.
