Lions Club organises free medical camp on R-Day
“People should make use of free medical camps, health check-up and free medicines distribution,” said Lions Club of Vijayawada Medical Club president Ch Suresh. As part of Republic Day celebrations, the club organised a free medical camp at Vidhyadharapuram here on Friday.

He said that free treatment was given for patients suffering from ailments related to bone, joints, eye, diabetes and hypertension. Tests were conducted for patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other diseases. Orthopedic specialist T Suresh, diabetes specialist K Harish and ophthalmologist K Vijay Shekar examined the patients.
Programme committee manager Vasudev Gupta said about 500 patients were tested and medicines were prescribed and given free. The club members, D Nageswara Rao, S Prasad Reddy, Suresh Babu and TSC Bose were also present.
