Cops conduct special drive on rash driving
The Ongole Rural Police conducted a special drive against rashly driving youth in the town. Up on receiving several complaints from the women and girls, the police increased vigil in the areas where the habituated eve-teasers lurked around, teasing them.

On Monday, the Taluk Police Station CI Muralikrishna and his team conducted special drive at the colleges in Lawyer Pet. His team including the Chimakurthy SI GV Chowdary stopped the speeding vehicles of the youth and offered counseling in public.
The Santanutalapadu SI Khader Basha conselled the youth on motor cycles who were following girls near Rangarayudu Tank. Tangurur SI, Venkateswarlu conducted a special drive at the toll plaza and fined the two wheeler riders without helmets and offered counseling, explaining the need of helmet at least on the highways.
The Taluk Rural CI Muralikrishna said that they brought 45 two-wheelers and students to the police station and offered counseling on rash and speed driving along with the eve-teasing.
