Chunduru Venkata Reddy death anniversary observed
MLC Buddha Venkateswara Rao, Chunduru Venkata Reddy Trust chairman Gouranga Babu and the Trust members organised a programme on the 37th death anniversary of Chunduru Venkata Reddy, at Chunduru Venkata Reddy Charities, One town here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion Buddha Venkateswara Rao said that Chunduru Venkata Reddy had donated many of his properties to the government for establishing educational institutions. He had contributed a lot for the construction of the Municipal High School near City Civil Court and later the school was named as Chunduru Venkata Reddy Municipal High School.
He had also contributed along with Raja Rangaiappa Rao for the construction of SRR and CVR Government College. Chunduru Venkat Reddy trust chairman Gouranga Babu said that Chunduru Venkata Reddy earned fame through his charities and donations.
He said that every year on his death anniversary on January 31 scholarships would be given to the poor and needy students. He said that about 100 students were given scholarship. He was also called Andhra Birla for his charitable activities. Kanaka Durga Temple members, students and others were present.
