Kakinada: A Sub-Inspector’s prompt act saved a couple of lives in a road accident at Timmapuram village here on Wednesday. One person was killed and two others were injured in a bike collision at the village in Kakinada Rural Mandal. According to Timmapuram Police, two bikes coming in the opposite direction at the Finance Minister's camp office collided on the main road. Bobbili Ashok Kumar died on the spot in the collision.

Two others including one who hit the bike with his bike were also badly wounded. The Police further said that these two bikes came in the opposite directions. “The deceased Bobbili Ashok Kumar was going to Annavaram while the other Choda Satyanandam was coming to Kakinada from Pithapuram. Both were at their top speeds,” Police said.

The Sub-Inspector of Timmapuram Police Station, Tirupati Rao rushed to the spot immediately and helped the accident victims. He immediately shifted the two persons who were badly to the hospital. The commuters also helped the Sub-Inspector in lifting them to the police jeep. The body of Ashok was sent to the Government General Hospital for an autopsy.
