Status of toilets in high schools reviewed

Guntur: Swachh Andhra Corporation executive director Vinayak, Guntur Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner K Ramachandra Reddy on Thursday, conducted a meeting with the head masters of the GMC High Schools in the corporation meeting hall, and enquired about the requirement of toilets in the high schools. They asked about the status of toilets in the schools and requirement of the toilets also.

Swacch Andhra Corporation executive director Vinayak, directed the progress of the toilets which were under construction and instructed to upload photos of the toilets under construction as early as possible. Depending on the requirement, he would release the funds for toilets construction. He enquired about progress of the works and questioned whether toilets construction work was going on.

He suggested construction of the toilets based on the strength of the students in the high schools. He also instructed them to provide urinals facility in the schools and directed to provide running water facility. He instructed officials to construct toilets with the corporate standards and renovate the old toilets, if necessary. GMC engineering officials were present.
