City doctor wins award for diabetes awareness

Vijayawada: Diabetes specialist and Ayur Ville director Dr Manju Bhargavi received Diabetes Awareness Initiative Award 2017 at the 8th World Congress of Diabetes India 2018 which was held at Biswa Bangla Convention centre, Kolkata on Thursday.

International Diabetes Federation president Prof Nam Han Cho of Korea and Member of Canadian Parliament (for Brampton south) Dr Sonia Sidhu presented the certificate of appreciation to Dr M Manju Bhargavi for creating awareness about the diabetics through various initiatives during the year 2017.

The award was given for her contribution for creating awareness on diabetes among patients. She received the award for both Andhra Pradesh and Telengana region out of 250 nominees from various parts of India.

She has been in the forefront of promoting diabetic awareness drive by adopting treating diabetes in a holistic method. Ayur Ville Nature Hub, Vijayawada has more innovative concepts like Yogic Diabetic Asanas, Zumba Aerobic work outs, Naturopathic diets, Low Glycemic diet plans and ancient Ayurvedic traditional healing therapies which gave symptomatic relief from diabetic complications like painful neuropathic, frozen shoulder, arthritis, sciatica and spondylitis. Her ideology of life style management techniques would improve patient’s quality of life, she claimed.
