Students of Sri Vishnu College of Engineering for Women won the second place in the Go-karting national championship ‘BAJA-2017’ held at Pithampur town in Madhya Pradesh. The event was organised jointly by the Society for Automotives India and the Mahendra and Mahendra Automobiles, according to the college principal Dr G Srinivasa Rao and vice-principal Dr P Srinivasa Raju.
Bhimavaram: Students of Sri Vishnu College of Engineering for Women won the second place in the Go-karting national championship ‘BAJA-2017’ held at Pithampur town in Madhya Pradesh. The event was organised jointly by the Society for Automotives India and the Mahendra and Mahendra Automobiles, according to the college principal Dr G Srinivasa Rao and vice-principal Dr P Srinivasa Raju.
The students who participated in the championship exhibited best performance in all the tests and won the second place at the national-level.
The college team recorded the first victory from two Telugu States in this championship. About 160 teams from various states participated in the championship concluded in January last week. They exhibited the vehicles manufactured on their own.
The students of Sri Vishnu Engineering College for Women (from EEE and Mechanical Engineering groups) participated in the championship. The Mahendra and Mahendra Automotives Managing Director, Pawan Kumar Goenka appreciated the Vishnu students for their achievement and winning the second place at the national level. The college principal and vice-principal congratulated the women team for their achievement.
