Making public traffic-conscious
Urban district traffic police conducted a traffic awareness rally in the city here on Sunday. The rally commenced from Pushkar Ghat and reached Fort Gate passing through Godavari bund, Kambham Choultry and mainroad.

Urban District Superintendent of Police B Raja Kumari, traffic wing Deputy Superintendent of Police VV Ramana Kumar, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, students of various schools and many others participated in the rally. Later, Raja Kumari said that the rally was aimed to bring awareness among the people on traffic rules.
Everyone should follow traffic rules to avoid accidents and underlined the need to wear helmets to prevent head injuries. Traffic police have been striving to regulate traffic in the city and it was the duty of the people to extend their cooperation to the traffic police in this regard, she added.
