Kakinada: Minister for Environment and Forests Siddha Raghava Rao, made it clear that all the government servants should respect the local legislators. If they fail in following the protocol procedures, they would be punished, he warned.

The minister was intercepted by local legislator Subba Raju’s followers over the intentional avoiding of the names of the leaders in the invitation cards and on flexi.The followers of Datla Subba Raju and Monitoring Committee member Dhulipudi Venkata Ramana (Bobby) raised the issue and stopped the convoy of the Minister Raghava Rao.

They complained to the minister that they were humiliated as the officials violated protocol.
Raghava Rao approached the Mummidivaram MLA Subba Raju and Deputy Chairman Subrahmanyam who were reluctant to participate in the opening ceremony.

The minister persuaded them and expressed anger at the District Forest Officer Nandini Salaria for not following the protocol. He advised the DFO, Nandini that she should invite the local legislators first.

Forest Officer Nandini confessed the mistake and said that they had no time to see all the things as they made all the arrangements in two days of time. The DFO assured that she would follow the protocol procedures in future.

Later, Minister Siddha inaugurated the Coringa Bio-Diversity Centre which was built at a cost of Rs 4 crore at Coringa Wild Life Sanctuary.
