Vijayawada: The Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS) in association with Nova Group of Colleges would organise a workshop on international scholarships and fellowships at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Saturday, said CHSS executive director Dr Kanneganti Ramesh Babu.

Ramesh Babu said that the chief guest of the programme would be Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang. Guest of honour would be CID chief D Tirumala Rao. Dr Vijaya Nirmala would preside over and make the presentation.

He informed that CHSS was a non-political and non-profit organisation working on internal security and external affairs of India. It was in the forefront for the last five years and had organised conferences and workshops related to national security.
He said the workshop on international scholarships and fellowships would help those who wish to study in more than 15 countries around the globe.

This scholarship programme was initiated and executed by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt of India. He said that many students from Andhra Pradesh and Telengana know about these fellowships and the selection process, he added.

He said that these scholarships will be given purely on merit basis and interviews to be held at Delhi. About 1000 students from Krishna and Guntur districts would attend the workshop, he added.
