Vigraha Pratistha performed

Akiveedu: The induction programme (Vigraha Pratistha) of Goddess Veeraperantlamma performed with devotion in Velivarru village in Undi mandal on Friday.

The women have conducted Shobha Yatra by putting bronze pots filled with holy water on their heads on the streets of the village. Undi MLA Vetukuri Venkata Sivaramaraju and his wife have carried Utsava Murthulu to the temple in a procession. As part of the Tayavahnika Deeksha, the reinstallation of Goddess was taken up in the temple.

On the first day, the priests performed the Ganapati Puuja, Mandapaaradhana and Kalasaaradhana. They also performed the cleaning of Yaga Shala at the temple. Priests Garimella Venkataramana Sidhanthi and Kuchibhotla Satyanarayana Awadhani supervised the holy programmes on the occasion.
