Kakinada: Lok Sabha member Thota Narasimham informed that the Ministry of External Affairs has agreed to establish a Passport Seva Kendra at Head Post Office here on March 17.

In a press release on Sunday, he informed that he had received a communication to this effect from the concerned Ministry.

The MP informed that he had urged the concerned Minister Sushma Swaraj about the establishment of a PSK at Kakinada during last month. The Central government had established 56 centres across the country in the first phase. In the second phase, the Centre issued only one Kendra that is at Kakinada.

He reminded that so far the residents of East and West Godavari districts used to go to Visakhapatnam to obtain a passport.
