The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner, V Vijayarama Raju has said that the corporation is inviting applications from the interested people who wants to install their stalls in connection with Vilambi Nama Ugadi festiival scheduled to be held on March 17 and 18.

Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner, V Vijayarama Raju has said that the corporation is inviting applications from the interested people who wants to install their stalls in connection with Vilambi Nama Ugadi festiival scheduled to be held on March 17 and 18.

Speaking to ‘The Hans India’ here on Wednesday, he said that the stalls were divided into two wings. As part of it, the first wing of stalls arranged from Pushkar Ghat to Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram passing from Three-Town police station and the second wing of stalls arranged in Subramanyam Mydanam. All the stalls were being arranged on footpaths.

The people who wants to arrange stalls on footpaths can contact Murthi (PA to Commissioner) over phone number 98666 57612 and for stalls in Subramanya Mydanam can contact Joga Rao (Town Project Officer) over phone number 98665 58977. The stall owners should decorate their stalls reflecting our tradition and culture. The stalls on footpaths reflect the stalls in jatara and in Subramanya Mydanam stalls of women only allowed. The RMC accords permission before March 16 for the stalls, he added.
