To overcome these hurdles and problems, Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of India AP Chapter (COWE) is formed,” said COWE president A Subhashini.

Addressing the media persons here on Thursday, she said ‘WoMentor-2018’ would be organised on Friday to create awareness on ‘Waste management and Menstrual Hygiene’ at PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College Auditorium. She said waste management in Vijayawada was very poor after the bifurcation and it should be strongly addressed. Exnora Green Pammal, Chennai who was a member of COWE would give training session on waste management, plastic waste recycling, eco-friendly colours made of flowers etc, she explained.

She informed that the COWE was formed 12 years ago and was active in 12 states across the country. “It circulates various schemes for women and organises EDP programmes, loan melas. COWE is tied up with National Small Scale industries Delhi and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). ZP chairperson Gadde Anuradha, Swachh Andhra Mission Executive vice-chairman CL Venkata Rao and Efftronics MD D Rama Krishna will be the chief guests for the programme,” she added.
