‘PMFBY useful to farmers’
National Insurance Company Limited coordinator Ch Prasanna Babu has said that Pradhana Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna is useful to extend a helping hand to the farmers, whose crop has been damaged due to cyclone and other natural calamities.
Guntur: National Insurance Company Limited coordinator Ch Prasanna Babu has said that Pradhana Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna is useful to extend a helping hand to the farmers, whose crop has been damaged due to cyclone and other natural calamities.
He visited Duggirala mandal to see crop cutting machines in along with the officials of the agriculture department on Thursday. Speaking on this occasion, he said that Nemalikanti James, a farmer used crop cutting machine in his agriculture field to cut the crop and added that the latter got 35 quintals yield in his agriculture yield.
Mandal assistant statistics officer D Sudhakar said that the government had already introduced CCE Agri Mobile App from the last season to record crop cutting yield and added that because of this system, transparency and accuracy would be maintained. He further said that after getting yields from the mandal, the National Insurance Company would extend benefits to the farmers eligible to get compensation under this scheme. Agriculture officer Jagan Mohan Babu and VRO Pulla Rao were among those participated.
