Ponnuru receives Ugadi award for anchoring
Prakasam District Writers Association general secretary Ponnuru Srinivasulu was selected for the Ugadi Purasakram from the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

He was felicitated by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and presented with the award and a cash prize of Rs 10,000 at the Vilambi nama Ugadi celebrations held at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada by the cultural department on Sunday.
Ponnuru Srinivasulu is well known as a poet, writer for the last three decades and anchored to the programmes participated by the stalwarts like C Narayana Reddy, Nagabhairava Korteswara Rao, Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna, Parupalli Ranganath, K Sivareddy, MS Reddy, Ananda Bhattar, Jikki, Jamunarani, K Viswanath, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Tanikella Bharani and others.
Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, deputy speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad, Tourism and Cultural Minister Bhuma Akhilapriya and others also participated in the distribution of awards by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
