Speed up execution of pending NBWs: SP
Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao directed the police officials to speed up execution of pending non-bailable warrants and investigation on attacks against women.
Guntur: Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao directed the police officials to speed up execution of pending non-bailable warrants and investigation on attacks against women.
He addressed the district crime meeting held at District Police Office on Saturday. Speaking on this occasion, he gave suggestions and advises to the police officials. He directed them to take stern action against those who attacked women. He instructed to step up vigilance on the movements of the culprits released from the jail after completion of their conviction and directed to keep a vigil on the movements of the suspects, rowdy-sheeters and KD-sheeters.
He asked the officials to take steps to reduce crime rate. He instructed them to book cases on drunken drivers and keep vigilance on the movements of the anti-social elements and ensure no liquor shops will open after the stipulated time. He directed them to solve traffic problem in Guntur East and take action against encroachers. He examined court constables calendar.
The SP advised the officials to indentify places where road accidents were taking place frequently and put danger boards to alert vehicle drivers. He advised to also not allow autos on the highways and implement helmet rule. He instructed them to conduct counseling to the rowdy sheeters. He instructed them to set up closed circuit cameras in Guntur city and solve the problems.
The SP asked the officials to issue notices to the apartment owners to set up cc cameras in the apartments and intensify night patrolling. Later, he distributed awards to those who exhibited talent in investigation of cases. Additional SP YT Naidu also participated.
