3 from Prakasam receive Government awards
Three persons from Prakasam district received awards in the categories of Kalaratna and Ugadi 2018 from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Ongole: Three persons from Prakasam district received awards in the categories of Kalaratna and Ugadi 2018 from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu presented the awards to these eminent personalities, as part of Ugadi celebrations held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada on Sunday.
Dr Lakireddy Sunil Kumar Reddy received the Ugadi 2018 award for his services in the medical and health field in the drought-hit and backward Prakasam district. His hospital, Sai Veena Childrens Hospital is the referral hospital for childcare by the government. Dr Sunil’s services in the neonatal and pediatric emergency services, brought him recognition from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Ponnuru Venkata Srinivasulu is the general secretary of the Prakasam Jilla Rachayitala Vedika. His work in literature already won accolades from various sections of society and his anchoring to programmes where great personalities were the chief guests adds icing on the cake.
He received Ugadi 2018 award for his talent in anchoring. Dr Gada Sasidhar, well-known researcher of Nadi Vaidyam from Chirala, received the Kalaratna award from the chief minister. His research on chronic diseases for the last decade proved to be worthy in a number of cases.
