Narsapuram: MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu informed that the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) has given its consent to establish the Electrical Division in Narsapuram.

Several TDP leaders met MLA Madhava Naidu at his office here on Sunday to appreciate his efforts to establish the Electrical Division in Narsapur.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that as Narsapur area was a coastal area, power problems were a common problem. Taking into consideration these power problems, he met the APERC chairman, Grandhi Bhavani Prasad and explained the hardships due to the power problems in this area. “The APERC chairman has listened to the problems represented to him and sanctioned the division to be established at Narsapur,” he said.

Mogaltur, Yalamanchili, Narsapuram, Palacole towns and mandals, Poduru would fall under this division. A divisional engineer-level official would be appointed here and it would be easy to solve the power problems that arise during the natural calamities in the coastal belt.

He thanked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Minister for Power Kimidi Kala Venkatrao, Grandhi Bhavani Prasad and APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director H Y Dora for sanctioning the division to Narsapur.

The Electric Contractors Association President Munukodi Venkateswara Rao, Municipal vice-chairman Ponnala Nagababu, mandal vice-president Ande Ramakrishna, Chamakuripalem Sarpanch Kavuru Rambabu, TDP leaders Atma Raju, Kollati Harikrishna, Kukkala Ravi met the MLA on the occasion and appreciated his efforts.
