Ongole: The Ongole police busted a gang of fake journalists and a pimp who gave money to them for not airing the visuals shot in the brothel.

Ganga Venkateswarlu, Inspector of Taluk police station said that Kandukuri Malliswari formed a gang with Annapureddy Sivaprasad, Annapureddy Sekhar and Annapureddy Koteswara Rao in the name of Sakti TV Channel crew and resorting to collections of money from people involving in criminal activities for not airing their stories.

On Saturday night, the fake journalists forcibly entered into the house of Velpuri Nagajyothi, who was allegedly running a brothel and recorded the clients. The team demanded Rs 50,000 from Nagajyothi for not broadcasting the story on the brothel but received Rs 20,000 after bargaining.

As the fake journalists gang were sharing the money, the pimp and her men doubted and tried to stop their vehicles. Though they missed, the speeding car of the gang was stopped by the patrolling police and the pimp complained against them. The Taluk police with information from both sides, arrested the fake journalists gang and the pimp and her men and produced them before the court. The court sent the fake journalists gang to remand for 15 days.
