Wine shop owners stage dharna
Seeking the trade margin increment, the East Godavari district wine shop, Bar and Restaurant owners staged a dharna at the excise superintendent office here on Wednesday.
Kakinada: Seeking the trade margin increment, the East Godavari district wine shop, Bar and Restaurant owners staged a dharna at the excise superintendent office here on Wednesday.
The agitators raised slogans against the government and demanded that the government announce an immediate increment of trade margin from 8 percent to 18 percent. They submitted a memorandum to the Excise Superintendent urging him for immediate sanction of the increment.
Speaking on this occasion, the owners said that the wine shops were in losses and the government should increase the trade margin to save the wine shop owners. They displayed placards showing save wine shops.
After that, they conducted a rally which ended at district Collector’s office. They informed that they would close all the wine shops till March 31.
Yalla Subba Rao, Nekkanti Sai Babu, Chikkala Subba Rao and others participated in the dharna.Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Additional Joint Collector.
