Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Vice Chancellor Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu expressed concern that principals are not identifying the problems of the students, which is their primary duty.

Addressing the principals of university affiliated colleges of twin Godavari districts here on Thursday, he said the principals should address the problems of the students. If there were problems relating to university or government, they should bring them to the notice of their higher ups.

The principals failed to bring awareness among the students on CBCS syllabus, though the university enlightened the principals in this regard many a time. The university was very much particular to provide quality teaching to the students in all its affiliated colleges and there was no compromise on it, he added.

Collegiate Education Regional Joint Director Prameela Devi advised the principals to know the changes coming in education system from time to time and underlined the need to enhance their skills.

The meeting discussed about the curriculum, conduct of examinations, results, revaluation, fee structure etc. Registrar T Ashok and the university college principals were present.
