Good Friday observed in Vijayawada
Thousands of Christians and others observed Good Friday with devotion and participated in the special Good Friday prayers. The chief guest on Good Friday, Social Service Centre director Fr P Thomas delivered his Good Friday message to the devotees and said that Jesus Christ was crucified to protect the human race which reflects the love and affection towards mankind.Â
Vijayawada: Thousands of Christians and others observed Good Friday with devotion and participated in the special Good Friday prayers. The chief guest on Good Friday, Social Service Centre director Fr P Thomas delivered his Good Friday message to the devotees and said that Jesus Christ was crucified to protect the human race which reflects the love and affection towards mankind.
He said people who follow Jesus Christ will be blessed.Chief priest of Gunadala Mary Temple Fr Yeleti William Jayaraj and others offered special prayers at Gunadala Mother Mary’s Church. Thousands of devotees participated in the special prayers. They carried the Holy Cross from the church at the foot of the hill to Gunadala hilltop remembering Jesus Christ carrying the Cross along with the prayers.
After reaching the Gunadala hilltop, the devotees broke down in tears. Later, they sang the special Good Friday songs. Special prayers were offered by Fr Ravindra, Fr Anil Joshi, Fr G Suvarna Raju and other pastors. Fr Kondru Simharayalu, Fr I Anthony, Fr Kamatam Mariya Das, Sisters and others participated.
