Fill all drinking water tanks, officials told
District Collector Kona Sasidhar directed the irrigation department officials to fill the drinking water tanks in the district with the Nagarjunasagar water.He inspected Vankayalapadu major on Saturday.
Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar directed the irrigation department officials to fill the drinking water tanks in the district with the Nagarjunasagar water.He inspected Vankayalapadu major on Saturday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that officials should fill 237 drinking water tanks. Stating that so far, 130 drinking water tanks in the district were filled, the Collector instructed the officials to fill the remaining drinking water tanks.
He directed them to fill 97 drinking water tanks in the Krishna western delta and 27 irrigation canals under Guntur channel. He asked the officials to ensure irrigation water reach Jonnalagadda through Bandarupalli and Narukullapadu majors.
RWS superintendent engineer Bhanu Prasad, Nagarjunasagar canal SE Gangaraju were among those present.
