Hundreds of school children from across the State aged between five to 16 years participated in the three-day State-level Children\'s Theatre Festival which concluded on Sunday.

Vijayawada: Hundreds of school children from across the State aged between five to 16 years participated in the three-day State-level Children's Theatre Festival which concluded on Sunday.

The three-day fest was organised by the Department of School Education and the Directorate of Jawahar Bal Bhavan on Montessori High School premises.

Jawahar Bala Bhavan Director VN Mastanaiah said the Day-three programmes started with the performance by Podduturu children. He said performances of students from Rajam, Tirupathi, Chittoor, Chipurupalli, Kadapa, Palakollu, Nellore, Machilipatnam, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Gudivada and Vijayawada impressed the audience.

The chief guest distributed certificates of participation and cash prize to the winners.C Monisha (Classical Music)from Tirupati, B Bangaru Sai Sri Naga Brinda (Classical dance) from Eluru, S Bhuvanesh, (Paintings) from Chittoor, N Viswasri, essay-writing competition from Tirupati, K Nitin Kumar, Creative Scienc, Tirupati Bal Bhavan students received Bala Ratna awards and M Darsik Reddy from Tirupati, selected for the Bala Surya Award.
