Attacks on Dalits will increase because of court order
TDP leader Dalit Ratna Kasi Naveen Kumar said that because of the fresh orders of apex court on SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act, many Dalit will face problems and expressed concern that attacks on Dalits may be increased.

Participating in a protest programme at Dr BR Ambedkar statue here on Wednesday, he said the Supreme Court judgement weakened the SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act and there would be no security to Dalit community. At present, attacks on Dalits were increasing and with the amendments to the act, the attacks might increase further.
The court can punish the respective persons who misuses the act, instead of making amendments to it, he added. The entire Dalit community in the country was not happy with the amendments, he averred.
