Collector inspects highway works

Kakinada: Collector Karthikeya Misra has inspected the progress of ongoing national highway-216 works with the officials here on Wednesday. As part of the inspection, he checked the works between Kakinada bypass road and Kattipudi village, Pithapuram, Gollaprolu, Chebrolu and Kattipudi bypass.

Later, he directed the officials to complete the works as per schedule and asked them to bring to his notice, if any problems in executing the works. He directed Joint Collector-2 JRK Murthi and Peddapuram revenue divisional officer Visweswara Rao to do justice to the farmers of Ramudu Chervu where their fields were damaged.

He advised National Highway Authority (NHA) officials to speed up the works to avoid pending of works even in the monsoon. He asked the officials of the revenue department and engineers of NHA to work together to avoid delay.

The Collector directed Roads and Buildings department superintending engineer to complete the road between Kakinada bypass to Timmapuram junction immediately.Later, he reviewed the works with the officials at the Collectorate. NHA project director G Hari Krishna, team leader Rao, Joint Collector-2 JRK Murthi and others were present.
