Kakinada: Collector Karthikeya Misra has directed officials of the Smart City to complete the ongoing works as per schedule and use the funds judiciously. The government has been very particular to complete the works without delay.

Reviewing the progress of the works with the officials of Smart City and Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC), he asked them to remove the encroachments immediately between Sarpavaram junction to Jagannadhapuram to widen Smart City road.

He also underlined the need to devise an action plan to shift the electricity poles and electrical lines and put them through underground cable system.

The Collector also asked the officials to remove bricks and clay etc kept on the roads in connection with the removal of encroachments. He also advised the officials to develop Gandhi Nagar junction, Muudu Lightla junction. DMHO office juntction and Balaji tank junction immediately.

The Collector asked the officials to prepare an agenda for the ensuing Smart City Corporation Board meeting scheduled to be held on April 5, and inform the members to participate in the meeting.

Smart City chief executive officer Sujay Arun, KMC Commissioner Shiva Parvathi and other officials were present.
