Mayor promises pensions to all eligible persons
Mayor Sheikh Noorjahan has informed that every eligible person will get pension in the city.She distributed 1,140 pensions to beneficiaries at a programme held at district TDP office in Ameenapet here on Friday. TDP City Committee president Kollepalli Raju presided over the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Noorjahan said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had enhanced the Rs 200 pension to Rs 1,000 and giving by first of every month to the beneficiaries. She said that she was trying to get more new pensions to the city to distribute among the eligible. Every eligible would get the pension soon after getting the permission from the Government, she added.
Cooption member of Eluru Municipal Corporation SMR Pedababu, AP Handicrafts Development Corporation chairman Pali Prasad, AMC chairman Pujari Niranjan, Deputy Mayor Nayudu Pothuraju and others participated in the programme.
