Vijayawada: A team from Centre for Livable Cities, Singapore headed by Executive Director Khoo Teng Chye visited Velllore Inistiute of Technology –AP on Wednesday.

VIT-AP vice-president Dr Sekhar Vishwanadham informed that the Singapore team visited the university during their visit to Happy Cities Summit - Amaravati 2018. He informed the Singapore team that the university was established with an aim to provide quality education with international standards. The campus has a cosmopolitan ambience with students from across the country.

VIT-AP vice-chancellor Dr Subhakar told that the classes for first year students commenced on July 26 with 640 students from 24 states of India and the teaching faculty from 10 states of India.

Six B Tech programmes, one M Tech (Integrated) and Ph D programmes were offered during the first year, he added.
