Kakinada: Lok Sabha member Thota Narasimham here on Thursday said everybody should follow footsteps of BR Ambedkar, who worked hard for the development of the weaker and suppressed classes in the country.

He participated as chief guest at unveiling ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar's bust size statues which were donated by the employee JAC on the premises of Government General Hospital along with the city MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao and MLC Chikkala Ramachandra Rao.

Speaking on this occasion, Narasimham recalled the qualities of both the national leaders. He expressed his happiness over establishing the figurines of these legendary leaders at GGH. Speaking on this occasion, MLA Venkateswara Rao suggested officials that they should construct new buildings at a cost of Rs 1.8 lakh which were donated by the employee JAC for the development of the GGH.

He also said that he would give Rs 10 lakh rupees for the development of the GGH besides the state government funding of Rs 25 lakh and Central government contribution of Rs 15 lakh.MLC Chikkala Ramachandra Rao and Employee JAC president Buriga Aseervadam also spoke at the meeting.

GGH Superintendent Raghavendra Rao, RMC official Maha Lakshmi, RMO Sudhir Kumar and the representatives of JAC also participated.
