Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner J Nivas directed the officials to speed up the construction of alignment work for the free flow of drain water.
Vijayawada: Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Commissioner J Nivas directed the officials to speed up the construction of alignment work for the free flow of drain water.
As part of the city inspection programme, the Commissioner visited various places and gave suggestions to the field work force for completing the alignment work soon on Friday.
He visited various places in the city including Loyola College, Kristurajapuram, Sunnapubattilu Centre, ITI College road, Ramesh Hospital road, Ramavarappadu Ring, Benz Circle and other places. He inspected the construction of storm water drain alignment work at Kristurajapuram, Loyola College and ITI road and gave a few suggestions to complete the work soon.
The Commissioner expressed his ire on the sanitary workers for the unclean side drains where garbage was filled blocking the free flow of drain water at Gangireddula dibba. The commissioner ordered the concerned workers to clear the garbagewithin two days.Officers Pradeep Kumar, Dr Rama Koteswara Rao and others were present.
