Akiveedu: CPM district secretariat member JNV Gopalan alleged that due to the attitude of Undi MLA VV Sivaramaraju, the poor people in Akiveedu did not get the land that acquired in Tallakodu area.

He addressed a meeting of house site beneficiaries held at Tallakodu here on Friday. CPM mandal secretary K Taviti Naidu presided over the meeting.Addressing the beneficiaries, Gopalan criticised that the MLA, Sivaramaraju was claiming that he had a vision for development. “What happened to the 74 acres of land that is intended for distribution as house sites to the beneficiaries. Is this your vision not to distribute the lands,” he questioned the MLA.

He alleged that even though the beneficiaries got the house site pattas, the land was not handed over to them so far.

YSRCP leader Nandyala Sitaramaiah said that the then MLA Patapati Sarraju had took the initiative to acquire 74 acres in Tallakodu and during his tenure the officials leveled the land for distribution of house sites.

However, the present MLA Sivaramaraju did nothing for the poor. He promised that the YSRCP would fight for the cause by joining hands with CPM. The CPM leader, B Satyanarayana, Gedela Appa Rao, B Satyavati, Jana Sena district leader Anil, CPI leader Subba Raju, YSRCP leader Hussain and others addressed the meeting.
