At a meeting held on journalists on media protocols on issue of human trafficking here on Sunday, the speakers expressed concern over the human trafficking going on from Anantapur, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, West Godavari and the girls from the state are languishing not only in flesh trade dens in the state but also in the gulf countries.

They said that in a joint operation with the police and other voluntary organisations, over 500 girls and women were rescued from flesh trade through decoy operations.

A 14-year-old girls was disposed off to a red light area in Pune for 25,000 rupees. She hails from Badangi in Vizianagaram. When his paents go out for work, she used to remain at home and cook food. A woman Rajeshwari grew intimacy with the girl and took her on trips to cinema and other places. One day she was given a juiced mixed with sedative and sold off to a flesh trade in Pune.

Another woman Lalita eloped with Rajesh on the last exam of Intermediate as parents of both the sides did not approve for their marriage. He lived with her for one year in Hyderabad and left the place for elselwhere.

He acquainted with lodge attendant Ramana and who made her succumb to him. She also gave birth to baby girl for Ramana. He converted the woman into a sex workers threatening to kill the girl.
