Civic chief inspects reservoirs
GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar inspected Nallacheruvu, Anandapeta, Sangadigunta and Nallacheruvu reservoirs in Guntur city and enquired about drinking water supply.
Guntur: GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar inspected Nallacheruvu, Anandapeta, Sangadigunta and Nallacheruvu reservoirs in Guntur city and enquired about drinking water supply.
He inspected the drinking water pipelines in Sangadigunta and asked officials about water supply position and expressed ire on the officials for not giving tap connections. He directed the engineering officials to give tap connection to every house. He instructed them to fill the pits dug for laying the drinking water pipelines. Later, he inspected drinking water pipelines and sanitation.
He went to Nallacheruvu area and interacted with local people. He talked with them about the drinking water supply. He inspected tanker registers and suggested the officials to take up repairs to reservoirs, if any. He also enquired whether drinking water was chlorinated or not and instructed not to waste drinking water.
