Merit basis for all recruitments, says Collector
West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar on Monday, made it clear that no government job would be filled up with recommendations and merit would be the basis for every recruitment.
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar on Monday, made it clear that no government job would be filled up with recommendations and merit would be the basis for every recruitment.
He received representations from various people at ‘Mee Kosam’ programme conducted at Collectorate here.Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the government employment would be conducted only through a recruitment notification and it would be purely based on merit only.
He reacted on various petitions from the youth for the outsourcing jobs. He said that no recommendation would be entertained in the jobs recruitment, including temporary jobs. He suggested the youth not to believe the middlemen.
The Collector directed officials to seize the earth movers which involved in the illegal digging of fish ponds without any permission. He directed the Wildlife officials to be vigilant against the digging up of fish ponds in Plus Five Contour of Kolleru Lake area.
He sanctioned Rs 5 lakh to construct retaining wall to the canals in Gangannagudem village of Denduluru mandal, as those farm lands were facing erosion problem. He directed officials concerned to remove the hyacinth in the drinking water tanks and fill up the water in view of the summer.
Joint Collectors P Koteswara Rao, MH sheriff, DRDA Project Director K Srinivasulu, RWS SE Amareswara Rao, Housing Project Director Srinivas other officials participated in the programme.
