Minors held for driving, counselled
Urban police have seized 54 vehicles while minors driving the vehicles in Guntur city on Tuesday.Following orders of the Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, the police officials formed a team to check the minors driving the vehicles.

The team seized 54 vehicles and shifted them to the police station and conducted counseling to the minors and their parents. They urged the parents not to give vehicles to the minors and warned that if they repeat the crime, they would be booked and stern action would be taken. Following orders of the police officials, the minors administered the pledge that they would not drive the vehicle.
Later, the cops screened a short film detailing how minors’ vehicle driving was leading to the accidental deaths and its impact on society. They imposed a penalty of Rs 1,000 for each parent.
They collected penalty of Rs 500 from minor and Rs 500 from his parent.
Traffic DSP Ch Papa Rao said that the children were driving the vehicles without knowledge of their parents. Traffic CI K Nalini Kanth was also present.
