Cordon and search conducted
Urban police on Wednesday conducted cordon search to check house breaking crime and robberies. The Guntur urban SP, Ch Vijaya Rao motivated the police officials and conducted the cordon search.

Seven DSPs and staff participated in the programme. They conducted cordon search in Dasaripalem, KVP Colony, Swarna Bharati Nagar and KS Colony.They verified people and vehicles. They took the persons into custody who failed to show their identity cards.
They seized vehicles not having valid documents. They seized 125 vehicles in all during the operation.
Speaking on this occasion, the Guntur Urban SP said that they conducted the cordon search to make Guntur safe city and added that taking crimes into consideration, they would take steps to check crime in the state and strengthen the department.
He said that they would conduct some more programmes in the days to come to check crimes and added that they had intensified vigilance on the movements of the strangers and criminals to check crime.
Additional SP YT Naidu, DSP Ramanjaneyulu, Murthy, Saritha, K Srinivasulu, Venkata Reddy and Ramesh were among those participated.
