Rally by social, political groups seeking justice to Asifa
Various public organisations in Markapuram organised a rally here on Thursday, demanding that the government provide justice to Asifa, the girl who was abducted, raped and killed in Kashmir. The protesters want capital punishment to her rapists.
Markapuram: Various public organisations in Markapuram organised a rally here on Thursday, demanding that the government provide justice to Asifa, the girl who was abducted, raped and killed in Kashmir. The protesters want capital punishment to her rapists.
The MPJ district president Shaik Abdul Razzak, Jamat-e- Islami Hind district president Shaik Ashrof Ali, AIDWA divisional secretary K Kalawati, CPM town president DKM Rafi, leaders of YSR Congress, MRPS and other parties and groups took part in the rally.
The rally started from Muslim Shadikhana at Cumbum Center along with 350 people from the public organizations and passed through Reading Room Center, Dornala Center, Rajaji Street and ended at RDO office.
They formed a human chain at the Reading Room Center and submitted a memorandum to the special MRO, Chandrasekhar Raju to forward the same to the concerned authorities.
