The State government has constituted a one-man committee headed by retired judge of High Court Justice NRL Nageswara Rao, to inquire into the allegations and irregularities levelled on the management of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) relating to the selections of contract faculty.

Rajamahendravaram: The State government has constituted a one-man committee headed by retired judge of High Court Justice NRL Nageswara Rao, to inquire into the allegations and irregularities levelled on the management of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) relating to the selections of contract faculty.

Special chief secretary to government Adityanadh Das issued a GO in this regard on April 19. The government constituted the inquiry committee basing on the allegations made by some persons in this aspect.

The inquiry committee examines the earlier inquiry reports and reasons for not taking immediate action on the recommendations of the committees by the university and also examine the complaints filed in the form of court cases, RTI applications on the academic and administrative functioning of AKNU.

The government asked Justice NRL Nageswara Rao to submit the report within 30 days. The government also directed the university registrar to provide necessary assistance to Justice NRL Nageswara Rao and also incur total expenditure from the funds of the university.
