High prices make mangoes taste bitter

Rajamahendravaram: Mango, the king of fruits, arrived into the market on Monday. Though the mango tastes sweet, its price has left a bitter after taste. The cost of Cherukurasam variety mango (small size) is Rs 200 and the cost of big size (25 pieces) is Rs 300 and small size of Banginapalli (25 pieces) is Rs 300 and big size is Rs 400.

Mangoes enter the market from Rajanagaram, Diwanchervu, Sitanagaram, Tuni, Jaggampeta and other places. As the season for mangoes started, many consumers have been trying to purchase the fruits. But the prices are keeping them away.
