Eluru: MH Sheriff, Joint Collector-2 has said that training classes to Village Revenue Officers (VROs) would be conducted up to May 11, to make them ready for the general elections.

He inaugurated the training classes to Assistant Returning Officers at Collectorate here on Thursday.Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State Election Commission had directed the district administration to be ready to conduct general elections in the state at any time.

Following these directions, the training classes to Assistant Returning Officers and the polling personnel were being conducted, he added. He directed the AROs to concentrate on the voters' list and verify the voters as per the list. No missing should take place in the electoral rolls after registering a vote, he directed.

He informed that district-level master trainers have been appointed and Tahsildars Somasekhar, Mikhel Raju (Lingapalem, Chintalapudi) would act as master trainers of Eluru division. Srinivasa Rao, Vijaya Kumar (Nidaadavole and Kovvur mandals) act as master trainers to Kovvuru division.

Ylamanchili Tahsildar Swamy Naidu, Undi Tahsildar Durga Kishore for Narsapur Division, GVV Satyanarayana, P Ravikumar (Jangareddigudem and Polavaram mandals) for Jangareddigudem division, AV Ramanjaneyulu for Kukunuru division have been appointed, he added.

The training programme for district-level master trainers would be conducted up to April 30. Tahsildars Somasekhar, Satyanarayana, Swamy Naidu and others participated in the training programme.
